Why with the Media Lab
Why do I want to weave tree-nets with the MIT Media Lab
1. Analyze why the Media Lab and me can be a good match, in terms of goals, projects, and people's beliefs, interests, skills etc. Ideally, there can be both the shared parts and complimentary parts.
2. Start the learning journey from the Media Lab: one way to work toward the goal of 'standing on the shoulders of huge men' is through weaving tree-nets with these huge men/orgnizations.
3. This weaving case is an illustrated case to show the functioins of Tree-Net.
In broad sense,
(a) it can be applied into any matching processes between one person and one organization, or one project and other projects. For example, one graduate student looks for ideal programs, and on the other hand, a program looks for ideal candidates. Or two projects look for the collaborating opportunity.
(b) it can be applied into the process of learning-&-innovating, in which one can visualize the inheriting-part (weaving with existing knowledge), and the innovating-part (the difference from existing knowledge).
(c) it can be applied into the process of documenting, abstracting useful information, and synthesizing ideas.
