Web-users might play various roles according to:

--affordances by the tools

--their purposes 

--their capabilities

 

3. Writing blogs

With Blogs, more and more people love writing, and become frequent writers.

The role of a writer is facilitated by the tool: Blog.

 

4. Processing digital photos 

Digital camera and photo-processing software enable people enjoy taking and procesing their own photos. 

Without these tools, it would be much more difficult to self-process photos.

 

5. Adobe's serious play

Initially, Adobe software is for professional designers in the field of graphic design.

Now, as media literacy becomes an important tool for faciliating the learning of other subjects,Adobe extends their market to learners.

 

6. Maple's target market

Although Maple was initially designed for math-related engineers, Maplesoft has generated major revenue from educational market.

However, Maplesoft needs to re-consider:  how the software can be re-designed for more effectively facilitating math-education.
